The KeyLTE Starter Kit is an inexpensive way to try out Althea's simplified approach to deploying private 4G LTE networks. It is designed for bench testing, pilot projects, and small-scale real world deployments. If you are a hand-on learner who wants to try the most innovative and easy to deploy LTE option available, then this kit is for you. This kit includes upgraded EPC and endpoint hardware that allows your initial investment to transition from the test stage to the production stage seamlessly.

This kit was developed for operators who are looking to retrofit a network built for other 4G applications such as Helium and Pollen into a revenue-producing Althea FWA network. Bring your own Baicells eNB and we'll provide the rest!

When configured and deployed correctly, this kit allows you to connect up to 2 endpoints with fixed wireless internet access. Each endpoint can use up to ~70 Mbps downstream, and ~10 Mbps upstream, with latency under 40 ms (results vary depending on deployment conditions, but these are realistic figures for both bench tests and real world deployments).

The kit includes everything you need to get a small LTE network up and running (except the eNB!):

  • QTY 1 - KeyLTE Smart Router with integrated EPC (Protectli i5, 8GB RAM, 32 GB SSD)
  • QTY 2 - CPE (Baicells EG3015M-M30-HP)
  • QTY 2 - CPE Althea Basic Router (Linksys MR8300)
  • QTY 2 - Althea SIM cards (pre-installed and registered)
  • MISC - all required patch cables, POE injectors, AC adapters, etc. eNB-specific cables, power supply, and other accessories not included.

All equipment ships pre-configured to be as plug-and-play as possible. When you order your kit, our team will reach out to you by email to coordinate a time to help you get everything up and running. This first time setup typically takes 1 - 3 hours.

This kit utilizes the CBRS spectrum (Band 48, 3550 - 3700 MHz), which is unlicensed and free to use in the United States and many regions of the world. If you live outside of the US, please check your local regulations regarding CBRS spectrum, or reach out to us for help at
